Edward Allard Jr May 1, 1928 - November 29, 2009 DAYVILLE - Edward P. Allard Jr., 81, of Dayville, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday. He was born in Putnam, May 1, 1928, son of the late Edward P. Sr. and Lillian (Beaulac) Allard. He was the husband of the late Marion J. (McKeone) Allard who died on August 8, 1999. Mr. Allard was a graduate of Killingly High School Class of 1946 and University of Rhode Island School of Pharmacy in 1952. He owned and operated for 40 years Allards Pharmacy on Main Street in Danielson and later relocated to Broad Street. He served in the National Guard and for over 35 years as a member of the Killingly Board of Education, where he was a past chairman. He was also a former member of the Killingly Town Council and Danielson Borough Council and active in many civic organizations. He was a member and former president of the Quinnatisset Golf Club. He is survived by his children, Susanne Allard of Danielson, the Honorable Edward P. Allard III and his wife Joann of San Diego, CA and John M. Allard and his wife Cari of Castle Rock, CO; brother, Norman "Joe" Allard of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Jennifer Ducat, Emily Allard and McKenna Allard; great granddaughter Braxton Murphy, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and his beloved pet dog Murphy Allard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial:St Joseph,Dayville
