Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Dean Colvin, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment to follow at Unionville Cemetery, Lincoln Parish, LA.

Mr. Colvin was born February 11, 1931 in Vienna, LA and passed away on November 29, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Air Force in Europe during the Korean War. Mr. Colvin was the first chimney sweep in Northeast Louisiana. He was a follower of Christ and served as a deacon. He was a member of the New Directions Life Group at First Baptist Church West Monroe. He was a home mission service corps volunteer for the Southern Baptist Convention.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Winnie Carter Colvin; children, Libby Colvin, Becky Colvin, Boyd Colvin and his wife, Linda; siblings, Billie Jean Deselle, Garland Colvin, and Louise Pearson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church West Monroe's "Mission Fund" or your local churches mission fund.
