He passed away Nov. 29th, 2009 of pancreatic cancer at Inola Health Care Center at the age of 75.

Born in Sageeyah, OK on Oct. 9, 1934 to Luther David and Minnie Ethel (Coble) Brazeal, Paul attended school in Sageeyah and Claremore, dropping out at age 16 to get a job to help his mother financially because of the death of his father when he was only eleven years old.

Paul worked at Claremore Laundry and Dry Cleaners about seven years then Douglas Aircraft. He served about two years in the National Guard. In 1962 he went to work for St. John's Hospital where he was trained to operate the Heart, Lung machine during open heart surgery. He served in that capacity for nine years. In 1971 he was hired as a sales rep for Medical Services, Inc. (Tulsa), being employed there until September, 1975 when he became a partner in J & S Industries, Inc. (Tulsa) a medical supplies business, retiring from there on May 15, 1995.

Paul married Bea Shrum on Nov. 17, 1956 and two children were born to their union. Paul and Bea divorced after 20 years, but remained close because of the children.

As a young man, Paul was the drummer for a local band. He was very talented although he never took lessons. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and the Dallas Cowboys football games. He always looked forward to "babysitting" his son's animals when he and his wife were away.

After retirement Paul moved to the Grand Lake area to be close to friends. He was baptized into Christ on Aug. 14, 2004.

Paul is survived by his son, Gary Brazeal and wife, Dana, of Claremore; his daughter, Robin Brazeal of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren Tony Kickertz of Pasadena, Texas, and Aubrey Byrd of Mont Belvieu, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Valarie Millikin of Adair, OK, and Leta Millikin of Disney, OK; several nieces and nephews, and good friend and mother of his children, Bea Brazeal of Claremore, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nellie Grammer and brother, Loyd Brazeal, two half-sisters and five half-brothers.
