Alston, an employee of Diamond Tech, died Aug. 22 in Tampa, Fla., at the age of 38.
A native of Mobile, Alston was a resident of Tampa.
He attended McGill-Toolen High School and graduated from Williamson High School. He also attended Marion Military Institute.
Survivors include his wife, Jacquetta L. Alton; seven daughters, Jharna Alston, Jacquece Alston, Jamaya Alston, Jada Alston, Jaleah Alston, Jameah Alston and Jireh Alston; his parents, Clarence and Gail Alston; two brothers, Clarence Alston and Elijah Seltzer; and three sisters, LaSonya Alston, Gail Alston and Beatrice Alston, all of Mobile.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at the Church of God Pentecostal, 2011 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. Burial will follow in Prichard Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home on St. Stephens Road in Prichard is handling arrangements.
