Dr. John Newton Fall was the first white settler in Chireno, who came to Texas from Georgia with a negro slave, and secured several thousand acres of land from Juan Antonio Chirino between 1836 and 1837.In 1837, Dr. Fall sent for his family, and after living at several locations built his homestead. He sent to Georgia to secure carpenters and brick masons. They began construction of the town included a general store, a drugstore, and consulting office for his patients.
