Henry R. Farnell Sr., a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local No. 119, died Monday in a local hospital.
Farnell, a lifelong resident of Mobile, was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and the church's Golden Age Club. He was also an usher and greeter.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie McDonald Farnell of Mobile; one daughter, Elaine Farnell Kopf of Mobile; three sons, H. Donald Farnell, H. Emmett Farnell and H.R. Farnell Jr., all of Mobile; one sister, Cora L. Paschal of Mobile; one brother, B.O. Farnell of Mobile; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home, with Christian wake services at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Little FLower Catholic Church. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
