for Mrs Van Matre
Funeral services for Mrs Ruana
M. Van Matre, 85, lifelong Muncie
resident who died yesterday at the
home of a grandson, Virgil Van
Matre, R.F.D. 3, Muncie, will be
conducted at 10:30 o'clock Thurs-
day morning at the Stephens fu-
neral home by the Rt. Rev. Msgr.
Felix T. Seroczynski. Burial will
be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after noon today.
Mrs Van Matre died after an ill-
ness of two weeks. Her husband
Luther D.,a Civil War veteran
died in 1925
Also surviving are a daughter,
Mrs Emmett Casso of Fort Wayne;
two grandsons, Arthur Van Matre
of Albany and John Van Matre of
Indianapolis; six great-grandchil-
dren and four great-great-grand-
children.
