Word was received here yesterday of the death of Mrs. Susan HoIIey Judd, wife of Mortimer N. Judd, which occurred at the Elm City Hospital, New Haven, at 11:15 o'clock Monday night. She was brought to the hospital several days ago from her home at Groton, and gave birth to a daughter a week ago. She was doing nicely until complications set in and the end came very quickly. She was about 34 years of age. She had lived in Groton since her marriage, but had a number of warm friends in this city.
She leaves her husband, Mortimer N. Judd of this city, a baby daughter and two sons by her former husband.

Mrs. Susie Shotwell, wife of Mortimer N. Judd of New Britain, died at a private hospital In New Haven, late on Monday night of complications following the birth of a daughter a week ago. She was born in New York twenty-nine years ago, and had spent much of her life in Europe. She was married to Mr. Judd two years ago. Besides her husband and an infant daughter, she leaves two sons of 9 and 11 years, of a former marriage, and one sister.
She was a woman of unusual attractiveness and mental ability, and is greatly mourned by all who knew her. The funeral will take place In New Britain tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock and will be private. Mr. Judd's sister, Mrs. Charles M. Bradley of St. Louis will be here to attend the funeral.
