She was 40 years old. She was a 14-year veteran officer, and is survived by her husband and two children - a 21-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.
The main public memorial to honor Lakewood Police Officers Mark Renninger, Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold and Greg Richards will be held next Tuesday, December 8th, at the Tacoma Dome.
A Pierce County spokesman said more than 20,000 members of the law enforcement community and the public are expected to attend.

Tina Gail Griswold, of Lacey, Washington, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009. Tina was born in Port Angeles, Washington, on January 28, 1969, to Stan and Geneva DeLong. She started her Law Enforcement career as a dispatcher with the Shelton Police Department and was hired as a Police Officer with them. She also worked with the Lacey Police Department and finally for the Lakewood Police Department since 2004. She loved her family and her job. Tina is survived by her husband, Paul, her daughter Nicole and her son Marcus; her brother Tom, sisters Tammy, Teresa and Tiffany. The memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., December 8, 2009, at the Tacoma Dome.
