Ordenew "Dennie" Milton married Robert Simpson Jeffers on 14 FEB 1885 in Franklin County, Arkansas.
Mrs. R.H. Jeffers, 81, member of a widely-known Franklin county pioneer family, died suddenly at her home here about 1 p.m. Tuesday of a heart attack.
Funeral service will be held at the Presbyterian church this afternoon at 1 o'clock by Rev. S.G. Stewart. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
The former Dennie Milton, Mrs. Jeffers was born Feb. 13, 1867, at White Oak, daughter of the late William Milton and Elizabeth Bourland Milton. She taught in public schools of the county and was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years. Oldest member of the Ozark Presbyterian church, Mrs. Jeffers was teacher of the women's class at the time of her death. She was also a member of the church's missionary society and of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Survivors include two sons, Robbie of Azusa, Calif., and Gordon of Ozark; five daughters, Mrs. Hugh Nichols of Azusa, Mrs. Ralph Corkille of Tulsa. Okla., Mrs. James
Goode of Fort Smith, Mrs. Erskine Brooks of Little Rock and Mrs. Jimmy Anderson of
Ozark; a brother, Walker Milton of Fort Smith; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Cannon of Rocky
Ford, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
