"Funeral services for Reuben E ‘Red' Roloff, an Odessa native and long-time resident, were held on Tuesday, Sept 26, 1995, at the Heritage UCC Sanctuary. Mr Roloff died in Odessa on Friday, Sept 22, 1995. He was 74 years old. He was born Feb 2, 1921, in Odessa, the son of David E and Emma Janke Roloff. He grew up on the family farm south of Odessa and attended the Lauer School. He married Edith Mae Reister, of Wilbur, on Jan 6, 1946. They operated the family farm until 1968. He then worked for farmers in the Quincy and Mansfield areas until 1986, when they moved back to Odessa, where they resided at the time of his death. He was a past member of the Odessa Riders Club and the Moose lodge of Quincy. He is survived by his wife Edith, at the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Katrina Roloff of Wilson Creek, and Larry and Kathleen Roloff, of Moses Lake; 4 grandchildren, Ryuan and Heidi Roloff, of Wilson Creek, and Darrel and Tonya Roloff of Moses Lake; one great-grandson, Antonio Roloff, of Moses Lake; one sister, Juanita Harig, of Kirkland, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. The Rev Larry Pierson officiated at the funeral. Burial was at Odessa Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home was in charge." (Odessa Record-undated)
