A. B. Brown, DOB given as 1836, has a CSA pension on line in the virtual vault. He says he enlisted in the spring of 1861 in Heard County in Co. G of the 7th Ga . While at Manassas, his brother, Lt. Tom Brown and another soldier, John Furlough were killed. He got leave to deliver their bodies home. While at home, he contracted typhoid fever and was unable to return.
