“Perry--On Friday evening, Oct. 10, at Bergen Point, N.J. Theodore Perry in the 66th year of his age. Funeral on Monday, Oct 13., at 4 o’oclock P.M., at his late residence, on 4th st., second house west of Avenue R, Bergen Point. Train leaves foot of Liberty st. at 3:30 P.M. Interment in Greenwood on Tuesday.”

“Deep sorrow and sympathy found its expression to-day at the Produce Exchange at the announcement of the death of Mr. Theodore Perry, who, a generation ago, stood most prominent in the produce line as a merchant--intelligent, cultivated, and public-spirited, though, through reverses, in later years in practical retirement from activie business. He was of the original membership of the Corn and Produce Exchanges. His demise follows a protracted illness and confinement to his home.”
