DEATH CALLS MRS. BRUNETTY CARTER
Mrs. Brunetyy Carter, 64, mother of Mrs. Roy G. Porch, died Aug. 9 at the home of her son in Branson, Colo.
The body was returned here Friday and funeral rites were conducted Saturday at the Porch home near Broxton. Burial was at Carnagie beside the grave of her husband, who departed this life a few weeks previous.
Mrs. Carter was well known in this community, having resided near Apache for several years, and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended the bereaved relatives and friends who mourn the passing of Mrs. Carter.

Brunetty Bible Carter
  Mrs. Brunetty Mible [Bible] Carter was born in Green county, Tenn. Dec. 25, 1859, died at Des. Moines, New Mexico* (*this must be an error) , August 9, 1923, aged 63 years, 7 months, and 15 days.
  About the age of 20 she moved with her parents to Texas where on December 25, 1882 she was married to William (Walter?) Samuel Carter, who preceded her in death June 21, 1923.  To his union were born five children, three boys and two girls.  One daughter died in infancy, and two sons, Roy and Brainard, both died at the age of 18.
  In 1907 she moved with her husband to Caddo county near Apache, and later moved near Carnegie where they lived until 1920, when they moved to Branson, Colo., where she resided until her death.
  At a very early age she united with the Methodist church.  In later years she united with the Primitive Baptist church and was a devoted believer and worker unto the end.
  She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Mrs. Della Porch, of Apache, one son, J.A. Carter, of Branson, Colo., one brother, H. Bible, of Moscow, Texas, one aged sister, Mrs. Haun, of Norman, six grandchildren, and other relatives besides a multitude of friends.
  The body was shipped to Carnegie for burial.  Funeral services were held at the Roy Porch residence near Apache Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Carnegie cemetery.  Rev. R. Hollis preached the funeral.
