JOHN RYAN ACKERMAN, 71, of Hawthorne died Monday. Before retiring in 1979, he was a shipping clerk for Zimmer Manufacturing, Hawthorne. Earlier, he worked for Morningstar-Paisley, Hawthorne, for 32 years.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Colyer Ackerman; two sons, John P. of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Ryan E. of Bloomingdale; a daughter, Suzanne Jansky of Elmwood Park; three stepsons, Harold Dusenberry of Chester, N.Y., George Dusenberry of West Milford, and James Dusenberry of Hawthorne; a stepdaughter, Nancy De Brock of West Milford, and nine grandchildren. Burial in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
