Sybil Grace Leavell, age 83, a resident of Dover, died Saturday, November 30, 2002 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born on March 13, 1919 in Lamar to Jennings Bryan and Hettie Mae Belling Boley. She was a retired nurses aid with St. Mary's Regional Medical Center where she enjoyed working in the nursery. She was the widow of Riley Jackson Leavell and was also preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Glen Boley and Roy Boley and a grandson, Richard Grant. Mrs. Leavell loved cooking for her family and friends and was a member of the Dover Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Joyce and Marion Helton of Dover, Etta and John Grant of Alma; seven grandchildren, Dana Gordon Bates of Dover, Annette Gordon Hull of Dover, Lance Gordon of Terre Haute, Kelly Gordon Williams of Dover, Paul Helton of London, Greg Grant of Alma, Jonna Barton of Greenwood; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.

Funeral service will be 10 am Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Mr. Jerry Turner and Mr. Micah Williams and Mr. Greg Grant. Burial will be at McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Dover Church of Christ.
