Marlene Hamm, 73, of Brownfield passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

The family will have a visitation from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.

Marlene was born on August 11, 1936 in Whiteflat, TX to Weldon and Inez Bailey. She married Billy Dick Hamm, Sr. on January 4, 1954 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy "Duke" Hamm, Jr. Together they farmed throughout Terry County before moving to Waco where they owned and operated a real estate company for several years. They moved back to Brownfield in the late 1990's. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Marlene is survived by her son, David Hamm of Aubrey, TX; 2 daughters, Sandra Hamm of Brownfield and Cindy Everett of Sundown; 6 grandchildren and a brother, Ronald Bailey of Matador, TX.

Memorials may be made to Matador Senior Citizens Assoc. or Terry County Cemetery Assoc.
