Carrie Lee DICKINSON was the second of nine known children who grew to adulthood born to the Rev. Samuel Abel DICKINSON (1856-1935) and his wife, Laura Ann FINLEY (1870-1948).

Carrie was married to Charles Henry FREED. Together, they had five known children. Their names and approximate birth years are shown below.

1911 Anna Laura FREED
1913 William Henry FREED
1917 Charles Lee FREED
1928 Robert Eugene FREED

Through her paternal grandfather's ancestry, Carrie was directly descended from four passengers who were aboard the Mayflower on her maiden voyage to America arriving in Nov 1620 (John HOWLAND, Elizabeth TILLEY and Elizabeth's parents) as shown in the chart at the upper right.

Samuel Burling DICKINSON, Carrie's father's father, is a qualifying ancestor for membership in the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, the John Howland Society, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and Texas First Families lineage societies.
