Mikesell and Meixel are used interchangeably.

Daughter of Peter Meixel/Mikesell

Friedrich and Elizabeth MEIXEL were married 5 April 1808 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover York Co. PA by Rev. Melsheimer.

Her memorial is almost completely unreadable and can only be identified by using the Carroll County MD Genealogical Book Volume Four: Northeast 1995, which identified memorials by rows and numbers.
Elizabeth is the dt. of Peter MEIXEL/MIKESELL and mentioned in her father's 1830 will. He gave land that he had bought from the estate of Frederick BACHMAN/BAUGHMAN (1758-1823) to his dt. "Elizabeth now the wife of Frederick BAUGHMAN (1786-1847) providing that Frederick's mother, Catharine (1763-1835), be paid her 3rd part of the purchase money." She was to receive interest $8.11 each year for her lifetime.

There was an article of agreement done in 1798 fixing the boundaries of Peter's land, 157 acres of HALFER STODT surveyed by Joel WRIGHT. Land was next to Wm. REINAMAN, Jacob HOCK and Geo. MARTIN. These families all connect to each other.
