The Cadiz Record, Tuesday, December 24, 2002. Graveside services for Earline Brown Lawrence, 95 of Cadiz, were conducted on Dec. 18, 2002, at Flat Lick Cemetery in Christian County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The Rev. Steve Spitzer officiated the services with burial following. Mrs. Lawrence died on Dec. 15, 2002, at Princeton Health Care Manor in Princeton, of natural causes. Mrs. Lawrence was born on Feb. 2, 1907, in Stewart County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Doug and Grace Stagner Shemwell. Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and a member of Dyers Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Brown; her second husband, Dennis Lawrence; two sons, James Rex Brown and George Brown; a stepson, Jerry Lawrence; two grandsons; two step-grandsons; five brothers; two sisters; and two half-brothers. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Morris Brown and Jerry and Carolyn Brown, all of Hopkinsville; two stepsons, and stepdaughters-in-law, Larry and Cissy Lawrence and Bill and Jeanie Lawrene, all of Cadiz; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Kenny Rogers Jr., of Cadiz; a step-daughter and stepson-in-law, Jane and Bly Galladay of Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Harvey Shemwell and Dorris Shemwell, of Hopkinsville; a half sister, Joyce Blane, of Hopkinsville; nine step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren; and a stepdaughter-in-law, Glenda Lawrence.
