Joan graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in P.E. She taught P.E. in Illinois, prior to having her children. She loved tennis, skiing, hiking and horses. She worked for Syntex, Palo Alto Times, and, eventually retired from Hewlett-Packard.
Joan experienced a long battle with Parkinson's; however, she did not let P.D. slow her down. She continued to excel at table tennis and bridge. However, in 2008, P.D. claimed her on 10/24/08.
Joan was a fabulous mother and her spirit lives on in her children, her nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
