James R. Harrold Answers Summons
Death Occurs At His Home In Chester Township Thursday Evening
James R. Harrold, 72, farmer and life-long resident of Wells county died Tuesday evening at his home in Chester township, one mile south and one mile east of Mt. Zion. He had been ill one year from hardening of the arteries.
Born in Chester township on Feb. 3, 1867, he was a son of George E. and Sarah Minnich Harrold. He was first married to Miss Amanda Murray, who died in 1903. His second marriage, to Mrs. Mary Kingan was solemnized in 1904. She died in 1934. In 1936 he was married to Mrs. Ella Deming, who survives.
Surviving besides the widow are two sons by his first marriage, Elmer A. and Delmer Harrold of Chester township; one brother, Isaac R. Harrold, of near Roll; two half brothers, Charles H. Harrold, of Montpelier, and Oscar Harrold, of Muncie, and two half sisters, Mrs. Ida Addison of Anderson, and Mrs. Della Stahl, of Michigan.
The decedent was a member of the Mt. Zion I. O. O. F. lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Friday morning at the South Liberty church in charge of Rev. Lester Howell, of Cowan, and burial will be in the Jones cemetery, near Batson bridge.
