JAMES EDGAR PHILLIPS
James Edgar Phillips, 65, Fair Play, a dairy farmer and owner of the Fair Play Locker Plant, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday in St. John's Hospital, where he had been a patient four days for brain surgery.
He is survived by his wife Verbal; a daughter, Mrs. Kyle Gordon, Nevada; two sons, James R., Chicago, and Mac A., Springfield, a sister, Miss Grace Phillips, Fair Play, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Fair Play Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Jones, Wesley Arrington, Harold C. Spiva and Lewis Mead, officiating. Burial will be in Barren Creek Cemetery under direction of Barker-Butler of Fair Play.
