Obituary:
Joseph E. Brown, 81, a resident of Waynesboro, MS died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. He was born February 9, 1928 in Meridian, MS to Joseph B. & Ruby Brown. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Waynesboro, MS, AT&T Pioneers, Sons of the American Revolution, & Sons of Confederate Veterans. His hobbies included genealogy and history. He served in the United States Army and retired from South Central Bell (Mobile & Brewton, AL).

He is survived by his Wife, Edda Davis Brown of Waynesboro; Two Children, E. Alan Brown (Renee') of Perkinston and Donna Brown Ross (Carey) of Katy, TX; Five Grandchildren, Steven Brown, Lindsey Brown, Laurie Ross Jeansonne (Jason), Katie Ross Brou (Ian), and Allyn Ross; Five Great Grand Children, Abby Jeansonne, Piper Jeansonne, Bianca Brou, Eliana Brou, and Giada Brou; Brother, James C. Brown (Marie) of Gallion, AL; Four Nephews and one Niece.

Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his Parents and 2 Sisters, Carolyn Snowden & Joyce Lang. Graveside

Services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 28, 2009 from the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in York, AL with Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the church of your choice or the Walley-Powell Children's Home, Waynesboro, MS.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Wayne County Hospice staff, Dr. John Stodghill, 3rd floor staff at Wayne County Hospital, & personal caregivers- Barbara Broadway, Deborah Burnett, & Sonya Mitchell.
