Andrew Glaze Advocate News Service EL CAMPO - Andrew "Jack" Glaze. 85, of El Campo died Saturday at a Wharton hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wheeler Funeral Home Chapel in El Campo with Pastor Wilbert Doerr officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He was a longtime resident of Wharton County, and actively involved in farming and ranching.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Glaze of El Campo; one daughter, Marian Vick of El Campo; two sons, Gene Glaze and Ross Glaze, both of El Campo; two sisters. Valley Hensley and Myrtle Wenglar, both of EL Campo; a brother, Homer Glaze of Edna; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lottie Morton and Beulah Smith, and two brothers, R.T. Glaze and Dewey Glaze. Pallbearers will be Brad Vick, Bobby Dean Vick, Byron Vick, Charles Glaze, Norman Glaze and Gaynard Wenglar. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Castillo, Joey Favino, Jess Byron Glaze, Matt Andrew Glaze and Josh Edward Glaze.
