BLENCOE, Iowa -- Ima Ellen (Hall) Collison, 88, of Blencoe passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery.

Ima was born at home in Steedman, Callaway County, Mo., to Thomas David and Rosa E. (Rose) Hall. She was united in marriage to Clarence Walter "Sandy" Collison on Dec. 8, 1930, in Logan, Iowa.

Ima lived in 17 different places before her marriage including Steedman and Fulton, Mo., and Castana, Blencoe and Mondamin, Iowa. They lived on rented farms south of Blencoe until moving to Blencoe in 1945, where she maintained and lived in her own home until the time of her death.

Ima enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, playing bridge, skipbo, 500 rummy and pitch, her home, family and friends, and especially "tea time at 3:00."

Survivors include two daughters, Cathryn Bledsoe of Sioux City, and Sue and her husband, Ron Cutler of Blencoe; three grandsons; two granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; and many devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Clarence James "Jim" Collison; her parents; four sisters; five brothers and an infant brother. She was the last survivor of her family.

Ima was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She and her husband had a great love for their family and life.
