Mrs Peter Wyant of Elton died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Luther Wheeler on Monday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock after a second stroke of paralysis, aged about 60 years.
Mrs Wyant had been visiting relatives here and in Bellepoint and had a stroke of paralysis recently. This was followed by another on Sunday morning, and she remained unconscious until the end came Monday afternoon.
The remains were taken on No 13 to Sandstone today and from there to Elton. The funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock by Rev Hackney of this city, after which the remains will be laid to rest at the Green Sulphur cemetery.
Mrs Wyant was a daughter of Mr and Mrs C W Withrow. Her mother died many years ago but her aged father is living at Sandstone, being in very feeble health.
Mrs Wyant leaves a husband and fifteen children and a number of other relatives, who will learn with much regret of her sad death.
She was born and had spent about all of her life in Green Sulphur District. The family formerly resided on Elk Knob, the farm now owned by Wm Plumley of this city. Later they moved to Elton. Mrs Wyant was a member of the Baptist Church and had been for many years.
