The friends and relatives of I. D. Orrison were surprised to hear of his death which occurred Monday September 29, 1903. The deceased has been visiting his sons in this vicinity, for the past three weeks. On Monday, one week before his death he was very poorly, but from that time was unusually well. On the morning of his death, he was left alone with Mrs. Orrison, at whose home he was visiting. He was feeling very right and talkative, but about half past eight, Mrs. Orrison having left he room for only a few minutes returned and found him lying upon the floor. Help was called and he was placed upon the bed. He breathed but twice. His trouble was heart trouble with which he has been afflicted for two years.
Mr. Orrison was born March 15, 1830. He served the north in the Civil War and since that time has spent two years in the soldier home in Minneapolis and three years at the Veterans home in Waukaca, Wisconsin.
