CRAVEY—SMITH
The announcement of the marriage of Miss Velma Smith to Mr. Mather Lochlin Cravey, of Milan, which was solemnized Sunday, July 31, is being received with interest by a host of friends here.
The ceremony was quietly solemnized in Chauncey Sunday afternoon at 6 o'clock, the Rev. C. A. Morrison performing the rites in the presence of a few intimate friends. Miss Ruby Davis was the bride's only attendant, and Mr. Dave Williams, Jr., of Milan, was best man.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. J. M. Smith and the late Mrs. Smith and is a very talented young woman, possessing a beautiful voice. She graduated from South Georgia College Academy and continued her education at Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She has been a member of the Telfair county public school system three years, having taught in Milan and in Progress consolidated school.
Mr. Cravey is the son of L. M. Cravey, of Milan, who was one of the early settlers of Telfair County. He attended Milan public schools and South Georgia College and is now a prominent farmer and is connected with the Milan Drug Company in Milan.
Mr. and Mrs. Cravey are at home to their friends in Milan.—Telfair Enterprise.
