Pioneer Resident of Morrison, Succumbs
Sarah Edmonds Fleming, pioneer resident of Mount Morrison, Colo., passed away at her home in that city. Friday evening, April 2, following a stroke of paralysis. She bad been in good health until the previous Monday when she suffered an acute attack of indigestion. Mrs. Fleming was born in Wales, October 22, 1865. She came to this country with her parents when a small child. Fifty years ago she married Daniel Fleming in Columbus, Ohio and three years later moved to Morrison where she has since resided. Mr. and Mrs. Fleming celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last December, with a large group of relatives and friends. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Edmund, Frank, Thomas and Carl, and two daughters, Mrs. Effie Klutz of Los Angeles and Mrs. Leah Cook, who has been residing with her parents for several months. She is also survived by a brother Jack Edmonds and a sister. Mrs. Rose Fleming of Evergreen. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning by the Woods Mortuary at the Morrison Community church and interment was in the Morrison cemetery. Rev. Starr officiated. Pallbearers were Otis Rooney, George Groom, Grover Denbow. Andrew Jorden, Otis A. Pike, James O. Davis.
