Funeral services for Ms. Annette Atkins, age 47 of Ruston, will be held at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home Friday, November 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Michael Hawley and Rev. Floyd Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Ansley Cemetery under the direciton of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Ms. Atkins was born April 23, 1962 and died November 24, 2009. She was a food service worker for Aramark at Louisiana Tech University with 21 years of service there. She loved animals of all types especially dogs and cats. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston.
Ms. Atkins is survived by two sisters: Cindy Jeanmard of Lafayette and Donna Atkins of Ruston; one brother: Garland Ray Atkins, Jr. of Ruston; two nephews Michael Jeanmard, Jr. of Lafayette and Fred Jeanmard and wife Krystle of Lafayette; an aunt Mary Jo Houck of Ruston and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Doris and Garland Ray Atkins, Sr.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until service time Friday, November 27, 2009.
