Pearl Ruth Wooldridge, 74, of Bentonville, died Oct 21, 1993, in Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov 14 1918, in Cave Springs, the daughter of Ira J. Simpson and Martha Bane Simpson.
She was a lifetime resident of Benton County. She married Reese Wooddridge in Cave Springs on Feb 5, 1939. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a past member of the Bethel Baptist Ladies Auxiliary and the sunshine class at Bethel Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and five brothers.
Survivors include a son, Sam Wooldridge of Bentonville; two daughters, Betty Elzey and Glenda Elliott, both of Bentonville; two brothers, Garlen Simpson of Bentonville, and Fred Simpson of Cave Springs; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Ernie Watson. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Burns Funeral Chapel.
