"Miss Anna Gertrude Benson, youngest daughter of Mrs. Hannah A. Benson, Fifth district, was married yesterday to Mr. John Arthur Bush, son of Mr. John M. Bush, of Hampstead, Carroll county. The wedding took place at the residence of the bridge's mother. Rev. Charles T. Weede, senior pastor of Hereford Methodist Episcopal Church, performed the ceremony. Mr. Frank Miller, cousin of the bride, played the wedding march. Miss Ethel Mitchell, of Baltimore, and niece of the bride, was best girl. She was dressed in white mull. Mr. Thos. Bush, brother of the groom, was best man.
The bride was attired in white organdia, trimmed with lace and velvet ribbon, and carried carnations. A reception followed the ceremony, after which a Southern tour was taken. The couple will live near Hampstead. Numerous useful and handsome presents were received.
Owing to the recent death of the bride's father the wedding was a quiet one, only the nearest relations being present."

Mrs. Anna G. Bush, 84, wife of the late John Arthur Bush, died at her home near Hampstead Friday, August 30, 1957, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Joshua and Hannah Miller Benson. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lyman Earhart, Westminster; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 pm at the Edward C. Tipton Funeral Home. The Rev Donald T. McIntosh, pastor of the Hampstead Methodist Church, officiated.
