SHEARER
Funeral services were held Tuesday for a prominent Chambers County resident. Mrs. Olive Wallis Shearer, 89, 1634 Main, Mont Belvieu, widow of the late Dr. A. R. Shearer, died Monday in a Houston hospital.
Mrs. Shearer was born on Apr 32, 1877, in Wallisville. She was a member of the Mont Belvieu Methodist Church and a member of the Chambers County Medical Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Dutton of Mont Belvieu and Mrs. J. J. Trichel of Houston; several nieces and nephews and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m.Tuesday at Mont Belvieu Methodist Church with Rev. E. Glynn Ferguson, pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Bruce O. Power of Beaumont.
Burial was in Fishers Chapel Cemetery at Mont Belvieu under the direction of Paul U Lee Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Billy Trichel, J. T. Looney, R. F. Trichel, Glen Bill Williams, John H. Wallis Jr. and Tom Looney.
