Wanda F. Corson Tipton Ballard, 78, of Rochelle died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1936 in Kirkland. The daughter of Fred H. and Muriel (Anthony) Baker. Wanda was a home health Certified Nurses Assistant for over 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, was an avid card player and very proud to have been an Ogle County Sheriff's Deputy. Survivors include her children, Rex Corson, Maria (Rick) Corson Sullivan, Alice Tipton Sanders, Jacque (Rod) Tipton Schairer, Jack Tipton, Jr., and Tammy Tipton Byrns; 16 grandchildren, Darren, David, Darik, Lisa, Rickey, Amanda, Jessica, Brandy, B.J., Brent, Jay, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Brock, Brittany and Brooke; 26 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Bonnie Fessler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her three husbands, Charlie Corson, Jack Tipton and Bob Ballard; her siblings, Harry Baker, Peggy Griswold, Melba Grieff, Fred Baker, Jr., Robert Baker, Josephine Underhill, and Ronnie and Tommy Baker in infancy; and one daughter-in-law, Kathy Corson. Her Memorial Service will be on Monday, May 11th at 11:00 AM at the Faith United Methodist Church, 325 S. Stott, Genoa, with Rev. Melissa Meyers officiating. Burial will follow at the Genoa Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Church.
