Interment was held in Rose Hill Cemetery. Ms. Burgess was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Milam and her husband, Bill, both of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, Bobby Burgess and his wife, June, both of Jackson, Tenn, Don Burgess and his wife, Sue, both of Scottsboro, Ala., Dwight Burgess and his wife, Betty, both of Memphis, Tenn., Jerry Burgess of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Tim Burgess, Rob Burgess, Christopher Burgess, Deborah Thacker, Michelle Montalvo, Daniel Montalvo; and three great-grandchildren, Evan Burgess, Kelsie Burgess, Brandie Burgess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray A. Burgess; one grandchild, Greg Burgess; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Caylen Burgess, Sherisa Burgess.
