Jimmy Lee Ashby, 69, of Elkmont, Alabama, died Thursday at his residence.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Dennis Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Ashby was a native of Lincoln Co, Tennessee, and was owner of Ashby & Sons Roofing for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean Ashby; three sons, Tony Ashby of Palatka, FL, Frankie Ashby and Jimmy Dwight Ashby, both of Elkmont; eight daughters, Jo Ann Riddle of Fayetteville, TN, Judy Spurlock of Satsuma, FL, Patricia Woodall of Tullahoma, TN, Lisa Downes of Guntersville, AL, Shelby Gordon and Charlotte Wales, both of Elkmont, AL, Priscilla Chavarria and Janice Seirra, both of Athens, AL; one sister, Lucy Dempsey of Madison, AL; 27 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
