Deceased was born in Herzfeld, Germany, May 20, 1831. At the age of 26 he came to America and to West Point where he has always resided. On June 23, 1863, he was married to Clara Holzfoester. He is survived by the following children: Herman, Martin, Barney, and Ida Lohman, all of West Point; Mrs. Joseph Winnike of Pleasant Ridge Township, Mrs. Frank Helling of Wausau, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ed Boeding of Seneca, Kansas, and Miss Linus Meerians of Horton, Kansas. His wife proceeded him to the grave in 1906.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Mary's Church, Rev. Father Jacoby officiated.
