∼Carol Lee Bates, 64, of Springfield, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. John's Hospice.
Carol was born July 30, 1940 in Danville, the daughter of James and Zoe Wilson Brown. She married Kenneth Bates, on September 5, 1959 in Springfield.
Mrs. Bates worked in banking for 26 years retiring from Bank One in 1996.
She is survived by her husband, Ken of Springfield; two daughters, Marcy (husband, Kendall) Mitchell and Lori Iocca both of Springfield; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. A Memorial Gathering will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
The family asks that contributions be made to St. John's Hospital, Hospice Program, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62702.
