Edna Karol Bivens, 68, of Tick Ridge in Wheelersburg, Ohio, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at SOMC Hospice, Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born Jan. 12, 1941, in Quincy, Ky., a daughter of the late William E. Bivens and Ethel Thayer Bivens. She was retired from Mitchellace. She is survived by a sister, Shirley Davis, and her husband, Sherman, of Russellville, Ohio, and a special cousin, Carolyn Bivens. She was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Bivens. Graveside services were held Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in South Shore, Ky., with Pastor Tami Coleman officiating. Morton Funeral Home in South Shore was in charge of arrangements.
