Troutman and his second wife, Catherine
Spurgeon(Spurgin) migrated to Indiana
in 1810 from Henry County, Kentucky
to Tiptonia (Columbus), Bartholomew
County. After the death of Catherine
in 1816?/1820?
It is understood Catherine Troutman
may be buried in Kentucky & that Peter
Troutman was buried with some of the
later wives in the family cemetery on
the property Peter remarried three
( 3 ) more times prior to his death in
April 1836. It is understood Peter
Troutman was buried in the family
cemetery on the property just
southwest of Columbus, but was
lost as the river nearby changed
course a few times and the burial
site disappeared.
