Hattie was born in McVille North Dakota and was loved by her family. Her life was short but the memory of her remained with her parents and her sister Gertie their entire life. Gertie was my Grandmother and told me of her little sister Hattie. Now I am the keeper of that love.

Her sister Gertie can be found on this site memorial #47184178

I went & visited Hattie's grave for the first time on November 16, 2010. I had tried to find her grave once before on a trip to North Dakota but had failed to find the cemetery, it is on a dirt road way off the beaten path. It was a cold day in North Dakota only about 10 degrees. But as I stood there a warmth came over me. I had found Hattie, her sister, brother & her Grandfather(my G-G-Grandfather). The cemetery was so quite & beautiful. The old church which Hattie had been baptized sits worn but I am sure it is more beautiful today then when it was new. The cemetery is the perfect place for her to rest.
