Mr. Ernest Morgan Corbett, 62, died Friday afternoon (November 20, 2009) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was a native of and has lived most of his life in Waycross. He was employed by CSX Railroad as a clerk in the mechanical department for 43 years. He also owned and operated Ernest Corbett Photography and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is the son of the late Carl Ernest Corbett and Aline Morgan Corbett.

Survivors include one aunt, Virginia Thrift of Waycross; one uncle, Ralph Corbett of Benson, AZ; his beloved dog, Missy; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday (November 24, 2009) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Okefenokee Humane Society, 1501 Blackwell Street, Waycross, GA 31501.
