Funeral services for Minnie Mae Pilgrim, 89, formerly of Westville, were held Feb. 12, at Foyil Baptist Church.
She was born Feb.19,1909 in Seven Oaks, to Ollie Matilda Allen Tune and Phillip Carroll Henry Thomas Tune. she died Feb.9, in Claremore,OK.
Her family moved to Gans when she was a small child. She was saved at the age of 9 and became a member of the Gans Landmark Missionary Church.
She completed her high school years at Gans in 1927. She and Lester Pilgrim were married in Westville on Nov.27,1930.During the 1940's when there was a shortage of school teachers, she received her OK Teachers Certification and taught school at Holland School in rural Adair County.
