Eileen Cochran, 90, of Ankeny, and former resident of Cantril, died Nov. 14, 2009, at the Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny. She was born July 7, 1919, in Van Buren County to Sam and Virgie Summers. She married George Lester Cochran April 11, 1939, in Unionville, Mo. He preceded her in death Sept. 18, 1992. She was a homemaker and was a member of the United Methodist Country Church near Cantril. She is survived by a grandson, Sean Cochran of Ankeny; a daughter-in-law, Linda Cochran of Ankeny; a nephew, Scott Thompson of Ankeny; and a sister, Virgina Thompson of Oro Valley, Ariz.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Terry Cochran.Graveside services with burial of the cremains will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril; Rev. ellis andrews officiating.
