Yates City – Brittney Brashers, 22, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Denver Health Medical Center in Denver CO.
She was born on May 6, 1987 in Peoria to Barry and Suzanne Breymeier Brashers.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Surviving is her father Barry, one brother John of Yates City, one sister Sara Brashers of Ohio, and her grandfather John Brashers of East Peoria. Also surviving are three aunts Cathy Bushell of Peoria, Brenda (Doug) Hunter of Metamora, Teresa Brashers of Galva, and two uncles Louis Breymeier of Farmington, and Phil Brashers of St Petersburg, Florida.
She graduated from Farmington High School in 2005 and was serving in the US Air Force , where she served a tour in Iraq where she received an achievement medal for her service. She was currently stationed at the Peterson Airforce base in CO.
Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM with the Chaplin Thomas Fussell officiating. Military rites will be held immediatly following the service.
