OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - May 29, 1947

Mrs. Elizabeth C. Zimmer, 128 Manchester avenue, died in her home at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday after an illness of eight months.

Mrs. Zimmer was born in Wabash county Sept. 25, 1868 and lived in Wabash 52 years. She was the daughter of Valentine and Catherine (Schwartz) Mattern and her marriage to Frederick C. Zimmer took place in Wabash Sept. 19, 1891. Mr. Zimmer preceded her in death in 1926. She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical and Reformed church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Murphy, Wabash R.R. 4, Miss Laura Zimmer, at home, Mrs. Lewis Scheer, Wabash, and Mrs. Kenneth Kunkel, Nashville, Ind.; three sons, Homer Zimmer, Paulding, O., Howard Zimmer, Napoleon, O., and John Zimmer, Phoenixville, Pa.; two sisters, Miss Anna Mattern, Wabash, Mrs. Lew Yentes, Huntington a brother, Ed Mattern, Andrews; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The body will be taken Wednesday afternoon from the Hoover-Miner funeral home to the residence where friends may call.
