Funeral for Samuel Ray Parrish, 69, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerrold Allen officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Parrish died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Cullman to S.E. "Tuck" and Jessie Parrish. He was the retired owner of Valley Roofing and Building Supply and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Parrish; one son, Byron Parrish of Decatur; three daughters, Sammie Kay Danford and Kim Arndt, both of Cullman, and Jimmie Hopper of Eva; one brother, Keith Parrish of Cullman; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lamar George, Albert Murphy, Willard Bowling, Lynn Ennis, Doug Long and Odell Alred.
