Carlton A. Bradley, 83, died November 16, 2009 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born June 28, 1926 in Santa Barbara, CA, the son of Carlton, Sr. and Dorothy Aylesworth Bradley. A resident of Hutchinson since 2000, he had previously lived in Long Beach, CA. He worked in furniture and clock sales. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, where he served as an elder. He lived his life to serve the church and was proud of his family. He was a private pilot. He married Twila Ashford on March 3, 1973 in Torrance, CA. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 sons, Stevan Bradley and John Bradley, both of Florence, Oregon and Randy Ashford and wife Debbie, Hutchinson, a brother, Robert Bradley, Santa Barbara, CA, a sister, Billie Manning, Goleta, CA, 8 grandchildren, Christopher, JoAnne, Scott, David, Carrie, Shawn, Elizabeth, and Michael, 2 great grandchildren, and a dog, Copper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Paul Bradley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Wayne Pittman presiding. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday and Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamb and Lion Ministries, in care of the funeral home.
