MR. GUSS WEBB

Guss Webb, son of Burton Worth and Eva Jane Beard Webb, was born September 13, 1878, at Gallatin, Tennessee, the past sixty-six years of his long and useful life were spent in McPherson. In 1905, he was married to Maude Helen Wallace. A daughter, Martha Maude, was born to this union. Mrs. Webb was taken by death in 1907.

In 1913, Mr. Webb and Darl Sitts were united in marriage, a union that has existed for over fifty years with joys and sorrows shared with each other. An infant daughter, Doris Laurene, had passed away in 1921.

Mr. Webb was a member of the Church of the Brethren, the I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Encampment. He had been associated with the San-Ore Construction Company for many years before his retirement. Six weeks of illness had preceded that eternal rest, which came at the McPherson Hospital, Wednesday evening, April 21, 1965.

Survivors include his devoted wife; four daughters; three sons; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren - three sisters: Miss Bertha Effie Webb and Mrs. Beulah Pansy Clark of Canton, Kansas; and Mrs. Lina Wilson Banman of McPherson - two brothers: Bert of McPherson and Carl of Glendale, California.
